The UK’s original, biggest and most exciting lantern festival is returning to Longleat. This year turn back the clock and travel the world with us as you are invited to journey through time at The Festival of Light this Christmas. Explore the era you want to discover as they showcase the evolution of the earth from the age of the dinosaurs to present day.

From the Blackmore Vale area, we take you directly to Longleat where we will start the day with a tour through the safari park (except for the monkey enclosure) seeing the animals hopefully in their winter homes. Enjoy incredibly close animal encounters on a winter safari in what was the first ever safari park outside of Africa.

We will leave Longleat returning later and head for a 2 course Festive Lunch at The George Inn – Longbridge Deverill.

After your lunch we head back to Longleat where you will experience Christmas at Longleat as one of the most beautiful stately homes in the land is transformed into a world of enchantment. Then as darkness falls, the Festival of Light is sure to amaze with more than 30 acres of illumination. Embark on a magical journey and see some show-stopping lantern scenes taken from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S Lewis, Cinderella, Snow White, The Wizard of Oz and more. Each lantern scene will bring key moments from the iconic books to life.
