Eden Project – Cornwall Day Trip – Sunday 4th October 2026

Journey to one of the world’s most remarkable attractions, where a former clay mine has been transformed into a breathtaking global garden housed within giant biomes – and celebrating a very special milestone this year! Depart the Blackmore Vale area for the scenic journey into Cornwall, with comfort breaks en route. As you wind through the beautiful Cornish countryside, anticipation builds for the extraordinary day ahead.

Arrive at Eden Project – Step into a world unlike anywhere else! Eden’s story began as a barren, abandoned clay pit – today it’s a spectacular living garden that demonstrates the wonder and importance of the natural world. 2026 marks Eden’s 25th Anniversary, so expect a particularly special atmosphere with extra exhibits and celebrations marking a quarter-century of inspiring positive change for our planet.

• The Rainforest Biome – Enter the world’s largest indoor rainforest, towering an incredible 50 metres high. Wander beneath cascading waterfalls, spot coffee plants, coconut palms, and cocoa pods, and cross the wobbly canopy walkway suspended high above the treetops for breathtaking views across this steamy tropical jungle.
• The Mediterranean Biome – Step into warm, fragrant surroundings filled with olive groves, vibrant citrus trees, grapevines, and colourful South African fynbos. The scents and sights transport you straight to Southern Europe.
• Outdoor Gardens – Explore beautifully landscaped grounds showcasing Cornwall’s native plants alongside fascinating sculptures, including the magnificent 70-tonne granite Seed and the striking Core building, inspired by sunflower geometry.

Free Time to Explore – Enjoy plenty of time at your own pace to wander the gardens, browse the gift shop for unique souvenirs, and tuck into your packed lunch, included as part of your day. There are picnic tables dotted around the outdoor gardens, or you may simply wish to grab a coffee at one of the cafés serving locally sourced treats. Journey Home – As the afternoon draws to a close, board the coach for your return journey, with comfort breaks along the way, arriving back in the Blackmore Vale area this evening.
