The trip includes a guided tour offering a wealth of knowledge.
The Gardens At Highgrove, Gloucestershire, is where HRH King Charles III has spent over 30 years transforming the grounds into what has been acknowledged as some of the most inspired and innovative gardens in the UK. Some famous garden designers, including Julian Bannerman and Rosemary Verey, have helped him achieve his vision. The gardens are open to visitors on selected dates between April and October each year. His Majesty’s strict adherence to organic and sustainable methods has helped create magical and intriguing gardens while being environmentally sound, encouraging plants and wildlife to thrive.
We will arrive at 12.30 for security checks, and we will then join one of The Kings’s expert guides on a two-hour tour through the extraordinary series of gardens, including The Stumpery, the stunning Wildflower Meadow and the impressive Kitchen Garden, a highly personal and inspiring reflection of the interests of His Majesty. The two-hour tour will finish at 15:00.
We will have lunch during the tour at The Orchard Room, an elegant, table-serviced dining room overlooking the Orchard Terrace. We will enjoy a set menu and refreshments, surrounded by the fascinating paintings of His Majesty The King and his family.
