We head from our pickup points throughout the Blackmore Vale directly to The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton for your matinee performance of “The King & I”.

Set in 1860s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.

Hailed as ‘the theatrical event of 2020’, the multi-award winning and critically acclaimed production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King And I is embarking on a World Tour direct from its record breaking sold out season at The London Palladium.

The Mayflower Tehatre has recently received a £7.5 million makeover with a major refurbishment that has been carried out on the 90 year-old venue. The venue has been completely repainted and given a new red and gold colour scheme. All the seats in the stall and circle have been removed and replaced with 1,659 brand-new wider seats, while the seats in the balcony have been reupholstered.
