Spend 5 days visiting the attraction in the Peak District and surrounding area and stay at the Holiday Inn, Riverlight, Derby.

Day 1: We depart the Blackmore Vale and head to our hotel in Derby with a stop for lunch. We aim to get to our hotel for mid-afternoon where there will be tea and coffee on arrival.

Day 2: You begin your day in Cromford from where you will enjoy a return 2hr narrow boat cruise through the picturesque Derwent valley. You finish your morning with a guided tour of Cromford Mills World Heritage site, the first mill complex and Birthplace of the modern factory system. In the afternoon you will visit Crich Tramway Village, a period village museum where you can enjoy travelling along the traditional village street on a vintage tram, viewing the exhibitions and marvelling at the spectacular views.

Day 3: This morning you spend time at leisure at spectacular Chatsworth House in the heart of the Peak District, followed by a visit to Chatsworth Farm shop. In the afternoon you will visit the traditional market town of Bakewell, famous for its Bakewell puddings.

Day 4: Today you will enjoy a guided tour and tasting at the National Brewery Centre Museum in Burton-upon-Trent, before visiting Melbourne Hall in Derby where you will be able to visit the house and garden’s (government guideline’s permitting) and also visit the tearooms where you will be able to get a light lunch and refreshments if you wish.

Day 5: After breakfast we start the return journey home. We travel onto Matlock Bath where you can stroll around the town at your leisure, or perhaps take a ride on the Height’s of Abraham where you could have a coffee and admire the hilltop views. We arrive back in the Blackmore Vale area early evening.
