You will be staying at the Best Western Carlton Hotel, which boasts a panoramic view of the Irish Sea, in addition to providing access to twelve miles of sandy beaches. It is also within walking distance of several other prominent local landmarks, including the Winter Gardens, Blackpool Zoo, Blackpool Tower, Madame Tussauds, Blackpool Tower Circus and The Golden Mile.

Day 1:  We depart the Blackmore Vale and head to Blackpool with comfort stops en route.  We aim to get to the hotel late afternoon to give you time to freshen up before dinner.

Day 2:   After breakfast today is a day of leisure in Blackpool.  The UK’s favourite beach resort features world class attractions from a theme park, an aquarium, stunning beaches and the unforgettable Blackpool Tower which is home to the famous Tower Ballroom, The Tower Circus, The Blackpool Tower Dungeons, The Blackpool Tower Circus and the Blackpool Tower Eye.  In the evening you will take in the lights from the comfort of your coach.

Day 3:  After breakfast we head to the award winning Bowes Museum, a French chateau housing an outstanding collection of European Art which includes fashion, textiles, silver and metals, decorative arts and picture galleries.  The gardens were originally designed by John and Josephine Bowes and the formal parterre garden complements this unique building.

Day 4:    After breakfast we head to the Lake District to enjoy the fantastic and diverse scenery from dramatic falls, pretty stone villages and deep lakes.  England’s largest National Park is now a World Heritage Site, home to Scafell Pike, its highest mountain, Wastwater its deepest lake and thriving communities like Keswick and Bowness-on-Windermere which is near to England’s largest natural lake, Windermere.

Day 5:   After your full English breakfast we depart our hotel for the return journey home stopping for lunch en route.  We will return to the Blackmore Vale early evening.
