Join us for a 3 day trip to see Kynren. We will be staying at the Blackwell Grange Hotel is a stunning 17th Century mansion, which enjoys an enviable setting in the beautiful County Durham countryside. Nestled in wooded parkland on the outskirts of Darlington and located between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Pennines.

Day 1: We depart the Blackmore Vale and head to our hotel in Darlington with a stop for lunch. We aim to get to our hotel for mid-afternoon where there will be tea and coffee on arrival.

Day 2: Today starts with free time in Darlington which is a large market town in County Durham, in North East England, the town lies on the River Skerne. After dinner we head to Kynren to “watch legends come to life” A thrilling tale told on an enormous scale bringing vividly to life the incredible story of England’s last 2,000 years. This multi award winning live action outdoor theatre spectacular delights and dazzles the senses.

Join Arthur, the son of a mining family, on his spellbinding journey through time. Watch Boudicca’s courageous but doomed uprising against the Romans and the clash of Viking and Anglo Saxon leaders at the battle of Stamford Bridge. Experience the excitement of daring jousting knights on horseback charging at full speed, for the entertainment and merriment of Bishop Bek, the all mighty Prince Bishop of Durham and his colourful entourage. Witness the future King Arthur’s magical encounter with the Lady of the Lake and as he draws the sword Excalibur from the Stone. Day 3: After breakfast we say our farewells and start the return journey home. A stop for lunch and then a leisurely journey back to Blackmore Vale arriving late afternoon/early evening.
