Day 1: We depart the Blackmore Vale and head to Nottingham with a stop for lunch. We will be staying at the Leonardo Hotel Nottingham and aim to get to our hotel by mid-afternoon, with time to freshen up before dinner. The hotel is situated at the heart of the city with the creative quarter on your doorstep, with its historic lace market and Hockley district buzzing with bars, restaurants and boutiques.

Day 2: Today we visit Sherwood Forest. Sherwood’s most famous resident still inspires visitors who want to discover the home of this legend, and more about the facts and folklore which surround him. Sherwood Forest still pulses with the tales of Robin and his merry men…outwitting the law, helping the poor and cleverly using this forest as their home, hunting ground and hiding place. On route to the forest, we stop off at St Marys Church Entwistle to visit the church where the legend has it that Robin and Marian wed.

Day 3: Today we meet our guide! Our guide takes us on a mixed tour, walking and coach (your coach will be used) of the city of Nottingham, after our guided tour finishes, we head over to Nottingham Castle, Civil War flared here, revolts roared here, and rebels roused the masses in the name of social justice. And, of course, the Castle was famously tussled over by Robin Hood and the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham in countless films and retellings of the legend. This free-flowing tour allows your passengers to explore at their own pace.

Day 4: This morning we have some free time in the city center before heading over to the River Trent, where you catch the boat for a 2-hour cruise of the River Trent taking in some of the sights and sounds of Nottingham from the river.

Day 5: Homeward Bound
