Your chance to experience the whole of Christmas and New Year in 5 Days before the real event, in Torquay, the seaside town called the English Riviera! We will be staying at the TLH Carlton Hotel and Spa, which boasts its own indoor swimming pool and fitness centre. A sparkling midweek break with festive themed menus and music every night. Ideal if you can’t get away for Christmas or the New Year.

Day 1: Christmas Eve. We depart the Blackmore Vale and head to Torquay with a stop for lunch. We aim to get to our hotel for mid-afternoon where you will have time to freshen up before your three course dinner, followed by the evening carol service with mulled wine and evening Christmas show.

Day 2: Christmas Day. After your full English breakfast you are free to explore Torquay at your leisure. Stroll along the seafront or sit in a café and people watch. Make sure you return to the hotel for afternoon tea and mince pies and a visit from Santa. In the evening there is a three-course dinner and evening cabaret provided by the hotel.

Day 3: Boxing Day: After your full English breakfast why don’t you try bowling, table tennis or line dancing at the hotel. Or sit back and watch the world go by. In the evening there is a three course dinner followed by a singing, dancing and comedy show.

Day 4: New Year’s Eve: After your full English breakfast enjoy the daytime entertainment programme laid on by the hotel before the New Year’s Eve drinks reception and three course dinner.

Day 5: After breakfast we say our farewells and start the return journey home. A stop for lunch and then a leisurely journey back to Blackmore Vale arriving late afternoon/early evening.
